July 2010 - Kraft Foods Discontinues PGE Rebate Program

Effective July 1st Kraft Foods has chosen not to partner themselves with Pan Gregorian and have discontinued their rebate incentive plan that was being passed to our members. The Board of directors in seeking alternatives that will continue to benefit the membership on such popular Kraft items as salad dressings, crackers, etc. Please stay tuned for updates on manufacturers’ programs who have chosen to partner with Pan Gregorian. Should Kraft Foods approach you and ask you to sign a personal incentive agreement, we urge you to disregard this offer and reply that you are a "Pan Gregorian Member" and only purchase with those who partner themselves with our group. Failure to do so may result in other manufacturers attempting to following suit and ultimately lead you to the position of having to abide to the pricing structures dictated to you, not by you !

Follow Up - Aug 2010

The Board Of Directors in pursuing the best deals possible have been in negotiation with other partnered manufacturers to provide better deals for the membership for salad dressings, crackers etc. to replace Krafts unwillingness to work with our members under the Pan Gregorian programs. It is therefore the recommendation of the Board that the membership pursue the following manufacturers as these are Loyal Pan Gregorian Partners with the willingness to work with our membership !

"In Unity There Is Strength" and now more than ever is the time to stand strong!

2005-07-04) RESTAURANT GROUP TO SUPPORT HUDSON VALLEY VETERANS

Pan Gregorian Donates Money to Send Local Veterans to WheelChair Games

For the second year in a row, Hudson Valley veterans will receive a donation of $10,000.00 to support their participation in the 25th National Veterans Wheelchair Games. At its 15th Annual Charitable Dinner Dance, to be held at Villa Borghese on Sunday, June 26th, Pan Gregorian will donate over $15,000.00 to various worthy causes.

Tony Trigonis, of the I-84 Diner and this year’s Dinner Dance Chairman, is proud to have opportunities to help his neighbors, most especially paralyzed veterans, during these uncertain times. “If we are going to put our men and women in harm’s way, we must support them in any way possible when they return home,” say Trigonis. Thirteen local veterans will be attending the Games, being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota from June 27th to July 1st, in events ranging from swimming and table tennis to hand cycling and bowling.

Pan Gregorian Enterprises of Upper New York, with a membership of over 450 restaurateurs, from White Plains to Buffalo, has given away more than $300,000. over the years to support various individuals and charities. With its headquarters located in Poughkeepsie, NY, it is most proud of its recent support of Hudson Valley veteran athletes who compete in the annual wheelchair sports event, which is the largest in the world. “As businessmen, we are always looking for ways to support our community,” says Louie Savva, President of Pan Gregorian and owner of Villa Carmella Restaurant in Kingston, NY, “but to have an opportunity to support these veterans, who have made a lifelong sacrifice to our county, is especially meaningful.”

Pan Gregorian Enterprise of Upper New York was established in 1989 as a cooperative for local restaurant owners, through its charitable foundation it has given away money to organizations such as the Children’s Cancer Research Hospital, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, St. Basil’s Academy, St. Michael’s Home for the Elderly, the United Way and Vassar Brother’s Hospital.
